You're not the only one

It's not nerves. It's your nerves.

About 1 in 20 people in the US live with excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), and most wait years before bringing it up with a doctor. The nerves that tell your sweat glands to cool you down just don’t switch off. Clinical-strength antiperspirants often can’t keep up on hands and feet. Prescription options can help.

Prevalence: Archives of Dermatological Research, 2016.

Sound familiar?

  • Wiping your palms before every handshake
  • A controller, phone or steering wheel that gets slick
  • Paper that smudges and pens that slip
  • Skipping sandals because your feet slide around
  • A towel within reach at your desk, setup or gym bag

The long wait

Half of people with hyperhidrosis wait 10+ years to bring it up with a doctor.

Most of us assume it’s just how we’re built, so we cope quietly. It’s a recognized medical condition with prescription options, and checking if one fits you takes 2 minutes.

Generic, prescription-only medications that dermatologists commonly prescribe for excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis): topical treatments for your hands and feet and, for widespread or stubborn sweating, an oral option. Some are used off-label, which is common in dermatology. Your clinician decides what, if anything, is right for you.

Every prescription can have them. With these medications the most common are dry mouth, dry or irritated skin where it's applied, and blurry vision. Your clinician reviews your health history before prescribing and checks in on how it's going.

No. Tirim is one flat monthly price that covers your clinician, medication and shipping. No insurance, no pharmacy runs.

Lots of people sweat in more than one place. Tirim starts with hands and feet, where good options are hardest to find. Tell us in the quiz if underarms bother you too.
